Jim Labruno's Achievements

  1. If the Twins want Suzuki to mentor Pinto so he is ready to take over the every day job next year or so then Pinto should be up. He learns nothing from Suzuki from being in AAA. But Pinto has not been told he is making the team yet. And out of all 4 catchers in camp he has had the least amount of work behind the plate.
  2. Watching your Twins play my Mets right now. Hoping to see Pinto play as I am a fan of his. They started Fryer at C.
  3. Nice article, Seems they are high on him and once he can handle all the pitchers it will be his job. Whether that is this year or next.
  4. It is a shame though as I feel they are just wasting time with Suzuki. He can not hit at all no matter what he does in the spring and is not an everyday catcher in reality. And I can understand if you are the Braves, or Yankees who are built to win it all now going with Suzuki but the Twins are not winning it all this year so let Pinto learn on the job
  5. I know its all but been said Suzuki is the starter and my guess is Pinto will go down because they want him to pay every day. But even in his very limited action everytime Pinto plays he does something productive. Gets a hit, draws walks, I like the kid
  6. Well Meyer and Buxton were sent down today. And dont worry Santana is greedy and will turn it down
  7. We will see if you feel the same way when he starts the season in the minors
  8. As someone said a few posts back. The Twins are not a playoff team this year so you play the young upside guy and give him time to get to know his pitchers and a full season to see what he has. As for Hicks no worries Buxton is going to be a stud
  9. No because you listed 3 people who have proven to get the job done at a big league level. Suzuki has never done anything to warrant a starting job in the bigs except for his defense.
  10. Well they need to let him on the field if he is going to make the team. Suzuki is a waste of time and not why a team in a semi rebuild mode would waste time not playing the youth to see who can give them what in the future.
  11. Yeah which is sad because lets face it Suzuki can not hit at all, And Pinto is currently the future at that position and should get a chance to prove it. The boy can flat out rake. And even though Herrman is playing other positions doubt they keep three guys who can catch. Herrman is kept they can use him all over and as second catcher. I mean I knew Suzuki would be the opening day guy. But we both know by mid season he will not be hitting and get replaced. Pinto deserves the playing time in Spring to show he is for real.
  12. I ask because I check the box scores every day and it seems everyone and their mother is getting to play but him. What is going on?
  13. Great help thanks to all of you for giving me advice.
  14. Mets fan here, A lot of talk around town the Mets are interested in Franklin if the price is not to high. Personally we need a SS bad and do not want to pay for Drew so I would like to see them go after Franklin as he is young and still has a lot of good upside.
  15. Thanks for all the help, I am thinking I will take him if he makes it to me in our draft and hope for the best.
