A couple of names come to mind. Recently, Randy Johnson won 300 games after turning 25. Going back in time, Warren Spahn won 363 after turning 25. So maybe there is hope for May and Meyers. -
First time posting here. Appreciate reading all the posts, Thanks to everyone for contributing to an entertaining and informational site. After reading all the national experts assessment of Jose Berrios, why has no one compared him to Pedro Martinez who was 1 1/2 inch shorter and 27 pounds lighter at the same age. Pedro's multiple CY awards certainly give credence to the fact that you don't have to be 6'4" 225 lbs in order to win at the MLB level.
