Is anyone else shocked that Disney hasn't made a re-make of this re-make? Seems like they could make a killing by making a film that could appeal to kids and adults (including and especially baseball fans) by bringing back as many original cast members from the 1994 film. Can you imagine George Knox as an owner, Roger or JP as a manager, Mel Clark as an angel (RIP), and trying to use real Angels players so the baseball play is really good. I'm a foster dad, so I'm also a little bias, but I also think it would be cool for Disney to donate a portion of the movie's income to a fostering organization (given it's a major theme of the 94 film). Would be a PR dream for Disney, IMO.
