De Vries with a great outing. Possible starter for Deduno? Tonkin roughed up and the Red Wings with another gut wrenching loss. Meyer danced around six singles in four scoreless innings (no walks, six Ks).

They only let Meyer go four innings, 72 pitches. He had six strikeouts but six hits allowed (no extra base hits).

He did mss a start. I cannot imagine why they would limit his innings as little as he's thrown.

According to his Twitter account he is done for the year. Let's hope he works hard this winter and adds a few notches to his FB by next season.

He's done for the year (for the Twins). He's doing some sort of WBC competition in Taiwan.

What the hell does that mean. I believe the MLB contract pretty much says the Twins now own his baseball soul. I can't imagine he's off in Taiwan without the Twins blessing. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
