Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Did you see Zumaya is getting Tommy John? And the Twins are paying for it, as they should, but still unclear on whether moving to the 60-day DL or released.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Yeah, I'm glad Zumaya is going ahead with the surgery. If it doesn't work, he's no worse off and he can live with it knowing he didn't walk away too soon. Nice inning for Waldrop there.
Twins Fan From Afar Verified Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Good to see Burroughs get on. I want him to have a nice spring.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Towles 2 R HR puts the Twins ahead of the Rays in the other game.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Towles 2 R HR puts the Twins ahead of the Rays in the other game. That pleases me immensly. I want him to have a monster spring
Twins Fan From Afar Verified Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Ray Chang down at second base -- looks like a knee to the face or something on a slide.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Crap, Chang has been having a tough luck with injuries... I hope this is nothing
Twins Fan From Afar Verified Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Revere with another hit and another RBI. Ties game up.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Bulger walks the first 2 Red Sox he faces
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Bulger walks the side so far... and still going
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Looks like Chang has a concussion unfortunately
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Wow Bulger can't find the plate.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 So, that was a good game, huh? Remember when Lars Anderson was a top prospect?
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Bulger looking really good today... 4 walks and a grand slam
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 When you have tons of pitchers in camp and coaches looking for any way possible to separate guys, you really don't want to start out with an inning like Bulger had. Ouch.

Ouch.No kidding. He would need a big shovel to dig himself out of this one...
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Obviously not a great performance, but he'll likely get 9-10 more outings. We'll have to see if he can throw some strikes. Clearly that's the key.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 He will be lucky to get a third outing if he repeats this one. Too many pitchers in camp to be patient with the underperformers.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I agree with Seth that throwing strikes will be key. His pitches had a lot of movement, which is great. But if he cant make sure they move within the zone when he needs them to, it's wasted movement.
Highabove Provisional Member Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Finding the plate is not a new problem for Bulger.
