Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Game Delayed until 12:45 due to pregame festivities at JetBlue Stadium.
jamar1700 Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 this game is on MLB network todayso I'm listening to one on my phone & watching one
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Ha! Nice!! Ben Revere leads off the game with a single past a diving Dustin Pedroia.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 The game is on MLB.tv too. I didn't have to log in to bring the game up, so it may be "free"... if anyone doesnt get MLB Network and wants to try the internet
jamar1700 Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I found out today that the mobile app is free with the premium subscription this year...
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 I can't get the mlb.tv... must be blacked out... and I don't get mlb network.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I love the look of the new ballpark the RSox have. They're talking about a facelift for Hammond Stadium soon and they really should take a page out of what they did at JetBlue. They should configure Hammond to replicate Target Field's dimensions and fence height. Let players get a feel for what they'll be playing in when the season starts. Anyway, I've already got a ticket for a Twins/RSox game over at JetBlue toward the end of ST and I'm really looking forward to seeing it in person!
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 NESN broadcasters talking about Gardy claiming the Mayors Cup competition is over. They... disagree.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 I like the idea of renovating Hammond Stadium to look like Target Field. I'd feel horrible for the Ft. Myers Miracle players, but oh well.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I found out today that the mobile app is free with the premium subscription this year...I discovered that too, jamar. Unfortunately CR doesn't have Sprint's 4G service yet and at the regular data rate, the live streaming video is crap.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 The Mayor's Cup is cool in theory. But it really means absolutely nothing.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I like the idea of renovating Hammond Stadium to look like Target Field. I'd feel horrible for the Ft. Myers Miracle players, but oh well.I suspect that the ball would carry more in Ft Myers, especially in the summer, than it does in Minnesota so I don't think it would be quite as power-killing. Besides, if the Miracle players expect to play for the Twins, they might as well get used to it. It also could allow Twins talent evaluators to get a sense of how a player's game might eventually translate to TF.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 The Mayor's Cup is cool in theory. But it really means absolutely nothing.NESN broadcasters were joking that a year ago, they laughed and said that losing the Mayors Cup might be the beginning of the end for Terry Francona... didn't turn out to be so funny when it became true!
jamar1700 Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I discovered that too, jamar. Unfortunately CR doesn't have Sprint's 4G service yet and at the regular data rate, the live streaming video is crap. I suspect the same is true here but will at least be able to listen to the end of day games on the bus.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Francisco Liriano walks the first batter he faces, Dustin Pedroia. He then got a double play on a liner to Aaron Bates at 1B. He then struck out Cody Ross.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Looks like Doyle had a good 2 innings vs TB
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Perfect throw by Saltawhateverhisnameis gets Burroughs
FranTheMan Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I suspect the same is true here but will at least be able to listen to the end of day games on the bus.Games look fantastic on the iPad version of the app (via my home WiFi).
Twins Fan From Afar Verified Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 NESN went out on my tv. Frustrating . . .
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 NESN went out on my tv. Frustrating . . .Must be a system problem. I lost the video feed on MLB.tv too
Twins Fan From Afar Verified Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Cable's back. Revere looked bad against the lefty on the slider.
Twins Fan From Afar Verified Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Nishi looking a little rough around the edges today. Twins steal another base.
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Getting a look at Burton next. Should be worth watching
Jim Crikket Provisional Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Beautiful play on a ground ball up the middle by Chang... diving and then throwing batter out from his knees
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 1-2-3 inning for Burton not bad (but not really against MLB competition)
