jokin Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Yeesh, I thought only near-40-year old catchers ended up looking that disfigured. But still, Jamey was the highlight of the night....and..... the Arby's Value Player of the night! Pretty sad state of affairs when your most effective pitcher last night was the one who hadn't taken the mound in......... 25 years! Of the last 3 Twins position playing pitchers, I'll take Drewbie.....the guy could sling it at around 94 MPH.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Had I known the treat I would be missing in the 8th inning, I would have insisted my wife not turn the channel. 76 MPH huh? And he was signed to be the opening day SS last year?
Kobs Verified Member Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 He didn't seem to be throwing with a lot of effort. The fact that the Twins have had to do this three times in three years is pretty embarrassing. Here we have a manager who is terrified of the catcher injury/DH loss/pitcher dying in a tragic batting accident scenario, but this is no biggie.
