Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Quite a test for Burton to put the fire out w/heart of NYY order coming.
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 And the Yanks score some more. Have to get inherited runners stranded as a bullpen guy.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Missed a HR by 3 inches... I just do not like Manship's chances to make the team right now. That 84-86 FB velocity on the same gun that got Liriano at 94 is concerning. That is very concerning and interesting because he had been throwing 88-92 earlier in the spring.
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Was Manship throwing that slowly in the first inning of work too? Very concerning.
J-Dog Dungan Provisional Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Unfortunate that the Twins took this long before they face a new guy. Unfortunately, that guy is Mariano Rivera.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 At least I thought it was his FB, unless his change is that fast and lifeless and was throwing it all the time... This could be the case, but then it is not really much of a change. He got a couple off speed pitches at mid 70s. So not sure what's up. Mariano's gun numbers were 88-89, which is pretty true. Hope Manship is ok, but he just did not have it today.
J-Dog Dungan Provisional Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 What is with Towles playing 3B?
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Waldrop's sinker at 87-89 which is pretty true speed for him
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 What is with Towles playing 3B?Holimon is at 3BTowles C
J-Dog Dungan Provisional Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 With the line of 1+ IP, 4 H, 6 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, and 1 K, not a good sign for Manship getting a job with the big league club.
J-Dog Dungan Provisional Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Really? On gameday it says that Towles is 3B and Butera is catching
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Parmelee swings at first pitch by Soriano and flies to RF... Lots of 1st pitch swings by the Twins today. They might just want to go home early.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Really? On gameday it says that Towles is 3B and Butera is catchingno Towles C and Hollimon 3B.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 And Hollimon not Towles struck out
Fanatic Jack Provisional Member Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Wow look at what Josh Willingham can do when he is in his proper position. Looks like I was right about that as well. Willlingham needs to be the everyday LF.
