Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Correct me if I'm wrong but postponed games have to be made up if possible? Even if it's two teams not in playoff contention.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Correct me if I'm wrong but postponed games have to be made up if possible? Even if it's two teams not in playoff contention. Usually, but when it happens this late in the season sometimes scheduling gets in the way - the teams don't play each other again and there are no common off days. If one of the games this weekend isn't completed, it might get moved to Target Field and played next week when the Royals are in town. They also have a common off-day (Mon. Sept. 17) where is could be played in KC. That day comes in the middle of a Royals homestand and right at the start of a road trip for MN.
J-Dog Dungan Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 There are going to be two games today: One starts at 3:10 P.M. Central, and the next game starts either at 6:10 p.m. or 1/2 hour after the 1st game ends, whichever one is later.

IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 And we're off! Old-style back-to-back DH. Been a while since I've seen one of these.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Is the line-up the same as yesterday?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 yesterday, that didn't happen, rather?
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Minnesota Red Wings Mastroianni, CFCarroll, 2BWillingham, DHMorneau, 1BDoumit, CParmelee, RFPlouffe, 3BCarson, LFFlorimon, SS(DeVries, P) Kansas City Waders Cain, CFEscobar, SSGordon, LFButler, DHMoustakas, 3BPena, CFrancoeur, RFHosmer, 1BGiavotella, 2B(Smith, P)
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Man, DeVries has got to work on getting his pitch count down. 20+ pitches for 4 batters. That would be OK if it was an anomaly, but he does that all too often.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Here's something you don't see everyday - intentionally walking Willingham to load the bases for Morneau.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Get de vries a win gosh darn it!!!!!!!!
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 GAME 2 Minnesota Revere, CFCasilla, 2BMauer, 1BMorneau, DHWillingham, LFParmelee, RFPlouffe, 3BButera, CFlorimon, SS(Hendriks, P) Kansas City Lough, RFEscobar, SSGordon, LFButler, DHPerez, CMoustakas, 3BCain, CFHosmer, 1BAbreu, 2B(Hochevar, P)
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Nice to see Parmelee crush that homerun. Hopefully he can continue to hit throughout Sept.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Parmelee was my pick for this series. I'm liking these points.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I wonder if Hochevar is going to be available in the off-season. He would fit right in to the Twins rotation.
J-Dog Dungan Provisional Member Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Twins offense showed up today for both games, especially with Mauer getting the Twins' first grand slam this f%*#(#* year!
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 it's possible the twins could still win this game. or is it probable? who cares, i failed statistics.
J-Dog Dungan Provisional Member Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 It is increasingly less likely, but I do believe the term would be probable that the Twins will win this game.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Since DeVries has put up number close to Blackburn's when he signed his contract, we'd probably also ink DeVries to a four year deal, no?
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 mastroianni is not a fan of TARP
