jwb1226 Provisional Member Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Are there any rule IV picks that the twins passed on this year having success or at least sticking with the teams that selected them?
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Rule 4? That's the amateur draft. Do you mean rule 5?
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 I was going to say, not sure any Rule 4 guys have even played yet.
jwb1226 Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 Ok when I checked I saw what I did before I even opened it. I meant ruleV
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 I was curious, so I just looked it up. There were 12 players taken in the major league phase. Of those 12: 7 are either on the active roster or the DL of the team that selected them 2 have been traded to another team and are on their active roster or DL 1 has been retained by the drafting team and outrighted to the minors (by trading with their previous club, ala Scott Diamond last year) 2 have been returned to their original team (both of them from the Twins! - Doyle, Komatsu) Can't say how those on active rosters are doing. Haven't looked that up.
