The Minnesota Twins beat the Royals 9-0 Tuesday at Target Field. Sonny Gray struck out 10 batters over six shutout innings and the lineup had six hits with runners in scoring position and drove in six runs with two outs. Down in the minors, Chris Williams hit his 20th home run of the season, Simeon Woods Richardson struck out 10 batters himself, Yunior Severino hit his first Double-A home run, Will Holland hit a grand slam that capped a 10-run inning and Brooks Lee hit his first professional home run.
