The Minnesota Twins were swept in a loooong day in Cleveland. Matt Wallner made his MLB Debut and homered off Shane Bieber in Game 1 before Game 2 was a tortuous 15 innings. Down in the minors, Jake Rucker made the jump up from Cedar Rapids to St. Paul to fill out the Saints' roster and ended up starring tonight. He hit a game-tying home run before adding a walk-off sacrifice fly. The Wind Surge were swept in their doubleheader and Fort Myers lost a deciding playoff game, ending their series. -

It was a rare night where video of Fort Myers was available, so there are highlights included of a rehabbing Bailey Ober, Kala'i Rosario, Noah Miller, Ben Ross, Misael Urbina, Tanner Schobel, Keoni Cavaco and Juan Mendez. The Minnesota Twins suffered a heart-breaking loss in extra innings to the Angels Saturday night. A couple of catches in the outfield that were just missed could have turned the game the other direction, but as it was, the Twins lost another game in which they were pathetic with runners in scoring position and Emilio Pagán served up another home run. An unfamiliar looking Twins lineup jumped all over old friend Jose Berrios but Toronto battled back and the Twins lineup failed to take advantage of several opportunities. In the end it was Jake Cave, Tim Beckham and Nick Gordon who put the pressure on and took advantage of some misplays to walk it off. Crazy game. I had this crazy dream the Minnesota Twins hit back-to-back-to-back home runs to lead off the game against Yankee ace Gerrit Cole. Weird, right? Too bad I had to wake up from that one. Anyway, down in the minors the St. Paul Saints had an incredible comeback while down to their final out that was capped by a Spencer Steer walk-off home run, his eighth in just 16 games since joining the Saints.
