I agree! To put it simply, Luis Arraez is the Twins high-end utility man. He's not supposed to be the full time left fielder.
Speaking of which, let's put Arraez back in his old utility role and pick up a solid corner outfielder who can hit 30 HR, drive in 100+ and play 162 games? Funny thing, didn't we have one of those guys already? I kid, I kid. I don't want them to re-sign a Eddie, but they should be looking for a guy who can give them 2019-like Eddie numbers. Players like that are a dime a dozen.
Amazing that the Twins need outfield help when they let Wade and Baddoo go and got nothing in return.

You need an update - Rosario had another really good night.  What can I say, I liked him, but most did not.  Way to go Eddie.

To be able to have guys go 7-8 innings, you first need pitchers who are able to go this long and still be effective. To solve the problem of Rocco pulling guys soon we need to get arms who are able to go 3 times through the order while still being effective

Cruz needs to do the right thing. He needs to sign with the White Sox and be a shadow of himself like a good Twins hall of famer.

Just like Greinke - time to move on.  Age is not negotiable and we have enough bats to fill the DH/1B/corner OF slots.  He was great to have on our team, but like Thome he has only so much gas left in the tank at this stage and if you remember he left us mid season for a contender just like Cruz and then the next year he was on three different teams and called it quits. Time for the old song - Thanks for the memories -

We've got a great player on an incredible contract.  That's pretty much what everyone wants - so yeah, his trade value is fantastic....but why would the Twins get rid of him? Are the Braves chomping at the bit to get rid of Ozzie Albies? No, because they have an incredible young player on a great contract. And they want to win. And to win you need incredible players.
Polanco is the Twins most valuable asset. Period.

31 year old Dozier had 2 months of team control left, was making $9MM a year, wasn't eligible for a qualifying offer and was playing like dookie.
So apart from 28 year old Polanco having 4 years of team control left, making $5.5MM next year, being eligible for a qualifying offer at the end of the 4 years of team control and playing at an All Star level currently, this is pretty close to the same.

No, We need his bat, he hits HRs, but he also gets other hits something that is lacking for many of our batters.  As I watch the post season I have loved to see players get well placed hits against the shift.  That is true baseball.  Polanco has bat control and is a player I am happy to see come to bat.

Well researched argument, realistic, and these players would all look good in a Twins uniform. Correa is likely too far a stretch but possible and we shall see what Falvey's plans are to reshape the roster.

Sano claims that he is going to be in the best shape of his life EVERY year.
Alas, if only long home runs counted for extra runs.... but they of course do not.
Therefore, Sano will continue to be a liability through next year until we can finally be out from under his contract

Good article - Rooker's fate is certainly one of the biggest mysteries as the Twins make moves this winter. Nice to see a pro-Rooker article here, as there have been many discussions far more critical. I like the kid too, just not sure where he fits.....we shall see.

Thanks for the write up Sherry.
Honestly, I'm not sure what direction the Twins and the FO will go in the spring.  However, I've always liked Rooker and will continue to pull for him.
Funny story though... We were at a game in Jacksonville when Chattanooga (AA) came to town and my kids were at the Lookouts dugout getting autographs from the players, when my son spotted Rooker walking by.  So he calls out super loud "Hey Rook! Sign my ball!"  The look on Rooker's face was hilarious.  You could see the wheels going in his head and he seemed to be thinking "Did this kid just call me a Rookie or was he using a short form of my name?", but he just shrugged, smiled and grabbed the ball to sign it.

It could be a roll of the dice to know if/when makes the big league roster. Kiriloff and Sano will likely be at 1b, and we have much better OF options defensively. He is going to have to hit his way onto any roster with OPS. I see him most likely on the 40 man to start 2022 at St Paul, if our core is healthy.

I know it does no good to dwell in the past. My main point is that I was glad to see Eddie in that situation. When Acuna returns to the Braves Eddie will probably be on his way to another team; that team being not the Twins. I do hope he sticks another year with the Braves. The Braves are my favorite NL team. Guess why? It is because when I was a kid they defeated the hated Yankees in the 1957 World Series and had a 3-1 lead in the 58 Series but managed to lose. Those were some teams with Aaron, Matthews, Spahn and the rest.

No, at least we shouldn't. I'm not thinking that. I enjoy watching him hit though and Atlanta is still playing and Eddie had a nice hit for them. Maybe just some nostalgic rooting for a former Twin.

Twins Daily argued Eddie Rosario endlessly. The question now is how to leverage the players and prospects we have to improve for next year. I was opposed to moving Rosario because of his instincts and fire, although he would have stretched the budget and was certainly prone to mistakes, in addition to an expected decline in performance. Would moving some combination of Kirilloff, Rooker, and Larnach last winter have returned a haul. Looking forward, the Twins need to decide what prospects are worth more as trade bait than waiting for their development or lack thereof.
To the post - yes, it was wonderful to see Rosario hit. He will get his shots against the right handers in the next round.

Great to see Eddie Rosario come through with a big hit for the Braves yesterday and be with a team capable of actually winning a playoff series. Letting him go along with blowing up the pitching staff has the Twins where they are. I can hear the chuckles now; fine. There was something about Rosario in left, Buxton (when available) in center and Kepler in right that just seemed to work. Now the outfield is the result of throwing darts with players names at an outfield on the wall.
