All seem like good options, but Cory P seems the best. Gleeman and Bonnes probably wouldn’t work out- Gleeman is a very astute baseball guy and a terrific writer, but I think listeners would soon tire of his  uncontrollable need to dominate every single conversation.

    The Pitchers
    RHP Joe Ryan (8-4, 3.67 ERA, 89K, 90.2IP, 1.1 bWAR) vs LHP Julio Urias (11-6, 2.57 ERA, 109K, 115IP, 2.3 bWAR)

The Twins hand the ball to Joe Ryan in game one of a quick two game set against the best team in baseball at Dodger Stadium. He'll be opposed by one of the most underrated starters in the MLB, Julio Urias. Urias relies on a mid-90's 4 seam fastball that he throws nearly half the time and opponents are hitting under .200 against the pitch. He also features a slow, loopy curve that doesn't get a ton of swings and misses. He will go to the changeup against right handed hitters, which has a whiff rate over 30 percent and has only gone over the fence twice in 71 batted ball events. Urias threw 6 shutout innings last time out against the Giants, allowing 7 hits, no walks, and 6 strikeouts. The Dodger's will typically allow Urias to reach his pitch count into the 90s provided that things go well, which means he's getting through 6 innings often and occasionally the 7th.

Mill1634 reacted to Mark G in Could Carlos Correa Opt Back in for 2023?
I see an awful lot of expectations that Lewis is pretty much a sure thing to come back, and just as strong or stronger than before.  I am lost as to the confidence; not the hope, but the confidence.  At 23 he has blown out his knee (big time) twice, and there is never a guarantee someone will be the same after that, especially at the SS position.  Look at Buck, for example.  Fragile would be a kind description of his career and, at 28, has what even the team acknowledges as "chronic" knee issues which keep him playing part time, at least for the near future.  What is it about Lewis that makes everyone so confident this will change in his career?  We have to plan on him not being the long term SS of the future, and if he is, God bless him.  Great.  But don't plan on it, especially if you can get a player of Correa's caliber.  A bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush, as my grandpa was fond of reminding me (the bush being the minor leagues today, no matter how promising one or 2 may look).  Do what you can to keep Carlos.

Roster Move: Jovani Moran was optioned to AAA-STP to make room for tomorrow's starter Tyler Mahle. OF Gilberto Celestino was activated from the paternity list and Kyle Garlick hit the 10 day IL
    The Pitchers: RHP Sonny Gray (6-3, 3.41 ERA, 74.0IP, 69K's, 1.0 bWAR) vs RHP Alek Manoah (11-5, 2.43 ERA, 126IP, 114 K's, 3.3 bWAR)

The Minnesota Twins will have their hands full with tonight's starter Alek Manoah, who was possibly the biggest winner of the ASG after his mic'd up appearance in Hollywood. Alek last started against the Tigers, going 5.1IP, allowing 4 earned runs on 7 hits including a homer, a walk, and 4 strikeouts. Manoah has yet to start a game this year where he's failed to get through at least 5 innings of work. It is possible the team will be cautious with him as he is a younger arm, but the Jays are right in the middle of a wild card hunt, and he's the best arm on staff. Manoah features a mid 90's fastball, an 80MPH slider, a sinking fastball, and a changeup that he only throws to LHH. The 4 seam is the best pitch per run values, which is -9. The worst pitch is the sinker, which has a RV of only -1.
