Come on now. That "research article" was 26 data points (13 outfielders and 13 infielders) spread across little league through professionals. Don't try selling that as any sort of proof. That wasn't proof of anything at all.
I gave you a dozen recent MLB player ACL tears that ranged from Lewis and Acuna tearing them in the outfield to Mondesi doing it leading off first to catchers and pitchers doing it fielding slow rollers in the infield. The overall point is that there's no proof any of us can find that says any position is more dangerous than any other when it comes to ACLs. But, as you said, people will believe what they want to believe.

They aren't pulling healthy good pitchers after 4 or 5 innings....They didn't last year, the year before, or the year before. I do agree, though, that with Maeda and Mahle, I'd like one bridge guy (Hoffman?) in the bullpen (not Ober, he's a legit starter). I'd prefer Ober start, and Maeda be in the pen (and just give him his starter bonus).

This was always the risk with keeping Buxton. I still think keeping him at this price is the right move. Get Lewis in center....

You probably don't want to know how often doctors are wrong......plus, surgery is a last resort. Fans seem to think (not you) that it's just a routine thing to cut open a body and do stuff to it. It isn't. No matter how routine it is, it isn't.

Teams owe fans nothing about how healthy their players are, imo. Nothing.

How does CF end his career? I'd love data on that.....not guesses, but data. I'd guess SS or 2B are way worse on a player's knees and ankles. 

Yeah, just going to have to agree to disagree there. Not just because it's spring training, but because it's also the wrong baseball play. You don't risk making the first out at 3rd.

What about Willie Mays? Guy probably would still be playing today if they hadn't forced him to play CF for 23 seasons.

If Alcala is back, this bullpen looks very good to me. They were top 10 after the horrible start, and added Lopez and Alcala...An ordinary Lopez as your 5th or 6th best RP is a nice bullpen. 

The standup double in a ST game? What was he supposed to have been doing? He made it into second and even rounded the bag jogging before the ball got in. Was he supposed to be trying to stretch that leadoff hit into a possible triple in a ST game?

This is provably false. He didn't manage that way with either Ryan or Gray last year. Didn't even do it with Paddack in his handful of starts. He did it with Bundy and Archer. Before injuries to Gray, and Covid wiping Ryan out, they were both going 6 or 7 innings regularly. The 3rd time through the order stuff was for bad pitchers. Unfortunately the Twins had way too many starts from bad pitchers last year. Rocco didn't take good, healthy pitchers out because they were coming around the order the 3rd time.

Are you suggesting the Twins aren't trying to get ready for the year? People really over analyze every detail. It's mine boggling really. And they seem to assume the twins are always doing stuff wrong.

It's cold in about half the stadiums. It's dumb to put roofs on them. It's a few weeks here and there.....also, it was a VERY LONG TIME AGO.
