TaterTot got a reaction from tarheeltwinsfan in The Astros are Not the Juggernaut You Remember
Evident, as the twins won the season series against them. I don’t think it is ridiculous anymore to say that the Astros are on or slightly above the twins level. They lost Springer, Correa, Prime Gurriel, and Brantley and Bergman haven’t been the same. They have tried to replace those players, and they have a few good players such as pena fill those gaps, but they just can’t replace the stardom of years past.

TaterTot reacted to Dman in Do you think Carlos correa will return this season? Poll
Correa was already willing to play through this injury before finally going to the IL. He is a gamer and if the Twins need\want him to play he will play.

After this season we can add Bally Sports Network to the list.

Nothing against the player but must we include that uniform on this website?

TaterTot reacted to Bigfork Twins Guy in Rumor: Angels Reportedly Considering Ohtani Trade, A Reversal From Last Week
That's the first thing I thought of. I recall he basically chose the Angels when he initially came over. Suppose they now trade him for a ransom with a wink wink nod nod that he resign with them after the season. Trout comes back next year with Ohtani plus the traded-for assets and they then can compete.

Think the Halos would be interested in Gallo and Kep?

TaterTot got a reaction from joefish in How Invested Are You in the 2023 Twins season?
I have more time on my hands than in recent years- to watch a under-preforming twins offense. Rocco is buried in his statistics and spread sheets and seems to treat the games like they are just a lab experiment. Maybe if Rocco tried to mange like the games mattered and started thinking in baseball terms things would turn out differently. Things just seem to fly over his head.

TaterTot got a reaction from wabene in Do you believe in these Twins?
Cross fingers, hope they make it to the playoffs, but considering this team has the longest postseason losing streak in all of North American sports it would be real grand if they won a game. Setting the bar pretty low.

That's a depressing list of "all time great outfielders".

TaterTot got a reaction from glunn in Farmer update and safety measures
This is the worst part of baseball, absolutely horrific. I hope that Farmer has a speedy and comfortable recovery.

TaterTot reacted to Fire Dan Gladden in Entering 7th Season, What Are This Front Office's Strengths and Weaknesses?
They rely too much on analytics!
They don't let the players play!
Their manager stinks!
They don't know how to keep the team healthy!
They don't know how to groom prospects!
They don't sign quality FA! (They got lucky on Correa)
They aren't honest with the fans!
They wear ugly shoes!
Falvey's hair looks like....
Sorry, got a little sidetracked there...

TaterTot reacted to chpettit19 in Twins have yet to field a starting roster in ST
What MLB team is expecting the regular season to be "all hands on deck every day?" What fan of what MLB team is expecting that? Nobody who watches baseball regularly is expecting that. No team is fielding their regulars for any game in spring training to this point. The Rays didn't send a single major league position player to their game with the Twins Thursday. I mean you're just complaining about Spring Training in general here.
The difference between last year's shortened spring training and what the Twins are doing with a few players this year is that the Twins players have been in the complex for the full Spring Training, and they're all participating in activities. Hitting, running, fielding, pitching, everything. Buxton played in a minor league game instead of a major league game because the rules are different and he was allowed to bat 2nd every inning. Didn't have to follow the lineup. Could just step in there and hit when he wanted to. So he got more game action there than any major leaguer gets in any Spring Training game to this point of Spring Training.
None of this means the Twins will have a healthier roster. They may still get hurt. But there's a big difference between you not seeing them play, and them not playing.

TaterTot reacted to rv78 in Twins have yet to field a starting roster in ST
This team is comprised of icicles. If anyone thinks the regular season will be all hands on deck every day they are fools. They can't even field the regulars for 1 game in spring training due to injuries not completely healed from last year yet or from just being overly cautious. Wasn't the excuse for poor play at the start of the season last year due to a shortened spring training and yet here we are a year later and the regulars aren't playing every day getting primed for the regular season. When they start to fall like dominoes due to injuries again, the FO will have no one to blame but themselves for bringing in and sticking with injury prone players due to the cheaper cost of rostering players like them. When June or July rolls around and half the roster is on the IL they'll only have themselves to blame.

No, Dylan Dingler is.

TaterTot reacted to HerbieFan in What Does Bankruptcy of Bally Sports' Parent Company Mean for the Twins?
Blackout rules for mlb.tv might not be THE stupidest thing in professional sports but it's right up there. Let's see....your sport is losing popularity. So....let's make it HARDER for fans to see their team play. Genius.

site published sources. While I care a lot about fans opinions, stating them as facts doesn’t fly.

TaterTot reacted to nicksaviking in Sinclair bankruptcy
This is the chance baseball viewers have been waiting for. Knock on wood MLB takes this silver lining, puts a great product on the field, markets the hell out of the star players and the fans tune in like never before. No more Ballys, or FSNs or other kind of RSN crap with arcane broadcasting rules and hard to find broadcasts. If MLB doesn't want to take the reigns of broadcasting long term (though they should consider it), at least make this game attractive enough for Amazon or Hulu or someone to buy up everything, or at least everything not covered by teams with alternative broadcasting partners, and make an individual broadcaster a one-stop-shop, fees already included, destination for MLB games.
