How and why do players today feel so much more fragile than they did 50-60 years ago? Players actually had to take part time jobs back then to pay their bills…. athletes today are supposed to be so much better specimens?🤷♂️ always get hurt on routine plays?
I guess they are more thoroughbreds now but so, so fragile

Thanks IBC….always appreciate a well thought out response to a question! It is amazing what MLB players had to do way back when in the offseason compared to today

Wonderfully pitched ball game against a desperate team in a hitters ball park!
Please let Lewis be OK.

So you don’t think players get hurt more often/easier now?
The statement was not that “they’re soft” or “really not injured”…simply that they seem to get hurt easier or more often on seemingly harmless plays.
I don’t think it’s a ridiculous take at all.

It does seem that way but the harder one works-out to stay in shape, the sooner the body may wear out from over use.
