Yeah...Are you kidding me? Eddie Rosario was a fricken warrior! Can you name the player with the most RBIs for the Bomba Squad?  If you can't then get off this site. Non tendering Rosario was the 2nd most asinine decision Falvey ever made. The first was trading Escobar.

My one complaint about Jim was his sometimes tin ear for speaking in public.  I'm hoping young 40-year old Joe has taken significant lessons in public relations so that when he speaks for the team it can be an inspiration.  I want the franchise to be successful, and good PR gets scoffed at but is underrated.

VI think Haniger would be great! The problem is he really hasn't played much left field in his career. assuming we wanna go into the year with Kep in right and Buxton in center well now what? Haniger won't come here to be a bench player, nor should he. Kepler could prolly be an above average defender even in left field. None of it matters if we don't get Correa back.

He doesnt, but to get Lopez or Alcantara it will take Kepler And some top level pitching prospect

This is all on The Fantastic Falvines. If I am Correa and I love Minnesota as much as i say, I am open to a multi year deal of say 5 years $200 mil. I dont see any shortstop on our horizon in less than 5 years. Lewis will end up being a super sub. Martin will never be a shortstop. Palacios cant hit at all, and Lee is at least 5 years away. Anyone who saw them play live when the games mattered saw what Correa brings to the game. Seager IMHO is no way the player Correa is. For the nerds, look at the spread sheet. I am sure Correa was a top 3 shortstop in 2022. i already know an ace pitcher isnt coming, why not lock up our next Captain?

let us not forget that next year...unlike this year there wont be 19 games against the guardians, White Sox, motor city kittys, and royals...we will have to play LA, San Diego, Atlanta, the Mets, Philly, St.Louis, Milwaukee and the rest of the national league...somebody push derek, thad and rocco out of the way of this train wreck. Joe Maddon and Jon Daniels works for me.

I was thinking about the same thing, Frank. I don't like that this FO likes to leave coaching spots basically open. Hawkins would been a great candidate, I was thinking even a figure head that the pitchers would look up to (like maybe J Santana) that comes & gives them a pep talk & encouragement, would be better than instead of maybe some geek.

i was in such a rant i forgot all of it but, what really turns me red is the fact that all these guys seem to get injured at a way more alarming rate. There has absolutely got to be something way wrong with the training and medical staff. Also why do we keep on trading for pitchers that the rest of the league KNOWS are injury risks? Where is the pitching gurus now? hiding behind the injury excuse...Falvine needs to go. I can't wait to hear why Johnson left a first place team in mid season. And why in the Hell didn't they call Latroy Hawkins to be pitching coach. My guess is he doesnt wanna work for those two. Also for derek falvey to talk about Francona like he's god is so fricken annoying. Didn't he ever watch anything during his decade or whatever it was there? The Guardians made baldelli, falvey, and levine look like the Bad News Bears of 2022.

The organizational philosophy is a joke.  The analytic approach without even considering any form of a conventional approach mixture is a joke.  Scheduled days off with no flexibility is a joke.  Way too many coaches is a joke.  With all those coaches you would think we would play better fundamental baseball all around. Since both Rocco and Baldelli are staying next year, the whole coaching staff should be replaced.  They need to quit being so surprised and frustrated when Buxton's season abruptly ends again.  All they need to do is sign a FA that may be willing to play center field half time for 100 mil over 7 years.  This organization needs to do some real soul searching to get team back into contention.  And quit blaming the WHOLE season on bad luck and injuries. The injuries mounted in September but that's no excuse for their poor play from June 1 to September 1.  If 2023 turns out to be another disaster instead of what many said would be a contending year the Rocco and FO need to go.

I agree w/ you Frank that this team tends to over analyze situations. I started a thread this early off season on what's more important "Analytics or Intuition". Most said that there needs to be both but put more importance on analytics. Stats like any data can be spun any way that you want to prove your point. Also you have to look at underlying conditions both good & bad. Besides IMO you need to go with your gut if you are into the game. I started this thread because all I hear from some fans is stats, stats, stats that's all that matters. It isn't.
I too was 100% against the Paddack trade from the beginning. And much much earlier after debating w/ some FO/ Baldelli fans about certain situations & digging deeper into it I found many faults w/ Falvine. Unlike you Frank, even with their faults I've seen improvement every year. They have improved our INF; 1st w/ Donaldson, then took Polanco from SS. This year they added Correa & our CF depth has greatly improved (maybe they don't receive credit for this). They suggested the use of long relief (via piggy-back) which I've been 100% for and IMO the absence of is the main reason for most of our pitching injuries & ineffiency. Unfortunately they balked because of fans blow back and or Baldelli's preference of totally relying on short relief. Many of their trades didn't turn out as was planned but I still give them credit for trying.
I have given up on Sano & Kepler, I'll give FO/ Baldelli one more year. If they pull off some intelligent trades & incorporate long relief & regularly use it therefore proving me right again. I'd be satisfied.
