First thank you Jeremy for all the work you put into the draft with articles, video's and comments!!  It was very insightful and I for one really enjoy the kind of info and content you bring to Twins Daily. So thank you!
I am thankful the Twins got the two high schoolers signed.  They both have really good tools and project well especially with their arms and defense.  Hopefully their hit tools will end up plus but we will have to wait and see.  They both appear athletically gifted so just need to hit the ball to succeed.
Have to say I was surprised Prielipp made it to the second round and that he ultimately did not quite get first round money.  That leads me to question if other teams see him more as a reliever than starter? I know Fangraphs did so it will be interesting to see how things ultimately turn out.  Still, likely elite reliever in the second round would not be a bad get either.
As usual I really don't understand draft rankings when it comes to pitchers past the second round.  Just given the comments and where Morris was ranked I didn't see him commanding the $500,000 bonus he got.  I thought it would be in the 3 to 4 hundred range tops.  I don't have the info the Twins do though so obviously they feel like he was the best pitcher available at pick number 4.
Happy to see both catchers getting the max they could get in the 11th and 12th rounds as I like both and I think they deserved even more but at least they gave the slotted value there.
Is Garrett McMillan worth going over slot for?  He wasn't ranked in the the top 300 that I could see.  I guess I don't see the attraction there but maybe someone can fill me in?
Dickerson is interesting and the Twins didn't get much in the draft for outfield prospects but with the swing and miss he seems like a long shot to me.  Still if they had to put that money on just one player I would go with Dickerson.
I know I complained about all the shortstop\utility player picks but I really like what they did in this draft.  They got a couple of high schoolers with good projection (i.e. not slow footed position less players). They got arguably the best bat in the draft.  They grabbed an elite arm in the second and under rated player with their supp pick. I am interested to see how how the smaller school Ben Ross does at the pro level and if his bat plays the Twins might have a legit shortstop there. I think Morris and Lewis are interesting arms and I really liked both catchers they drafted after the first ten picks.
To recap they got high upside early in the draft and still found talented bats late in the draft along with two high school shortstops.  I think they did pretty well this year.

As for the shortstop thing... I think it's their intent to just draft best available... In 2019 and 2021, there was a bigger focus on pitching because those drafts had some pitching depth. The general thought on this draft is that pitching was weak.
Sean said a big focus was on up-the-middle guys. Of course, that doesn't mean that they'll all stay there, and that's OK. Lee wasn't the #8 overall pick because of his defense. It's because hit bat plays anywhere, and if it's SS, great. Schobel already played mostly 2B. Daniel and Lopez are likely going to college. Everyone gets how hard it is to find an MLB shortstop, so you draft a bunch of them, and try to develop them, and if not, they are great athletes and can move. That's a good thing.

Always interesting to see how catchers do when they come into the organization. Generally, if you look at the catchers throughout the organization, especially in the lower levels, most of the catchers catch just twice a week. Hard to get into an offensive rhythm like that, but they want lots of guys ready defensively and getting reps because it is such a position of attrition.
Then again, always interesting to see which catchers get an opportunity to DH. Ryan Jeffers caught a couple times a week and DHd pretty much every other game.

Good move with Celestino, let him get ABs everyday in AAA.  He has shown potential to be a pretty solid hitter, but could certainly use some seasoning.
I think I am in the minority, but I am looking forward to seeing Miguel again.

First, the consensus board was a home run.  I had that and the TD live draft coverage open throughout the draft. Great work. I hope you do it next year. I agree with your three points. I think looking for power breakouts in the later rounds makes great sense. If these players had put together 2 or 3 years of those kind of results, they would have been drafted much earlier. Late developers and small college guys always go later, but you never know when you will find a Festa.

Great bat to ball skills are generally the best predictor of hitting success and he has those in spades. He just needs to keep his body healthy and keep doing what he is already doing.  He was the player I wanted to fall to the Twins the most out of any other College player in the top 10 of the draft.  A switch hitting elite bat is very. very hard to find and with a chance at elite defense at third base he has a chance at All Star potential if it all clicks.  I really felt the Twins got lucky for once as it looked like they were going to get squeezed out of the top 7 bats only to have possibly the best bat fall to number 8.
