It would be good for a bunch of AAAA players. One new team in each league would kill the excuse for inter-league play during the season. It would mean restructuring the divisions to create, probably, 4 in each league, Some positives there. Portland and Nashville seem reasonable both for geographic and historical reasons.

The U. S. population has tripled in the past 100 years. Baseball has grown enormously in many countries outside of the United States. There are plenty of players and there are a number of cities that would support baseball. Yes, baseball should add two teams.
Where is a little more controversial. Everyone will have their own ideas. My quick response would be Portland, Oregon and Montreal, Quebec.

This encapsulates the problem with trading Arraez..
Imagine Twins fans reaction to a hypothetical trade for someone like Berrios with the return being a singles hitter who may be a defensive liability and has bad knees.

Rachel Balkovec becomes the first woman manager of the Yankees low-A team. From reading about her, it sounds well deserved. Congrats, Rachel ...  you may be the first, but I hope not the last.

I hope and expect that someday filling such a position with someone with two X chromosomes will not be a noteworthy event. But it certainly is now and I think it's good that this happened.

I am not sure that spending money just because you have it is ever a good idea, especially if it were spent on an outfielder not named Bryant.  Let's face it, Falvey and Levine lost the office season already by not signing a significant arm.  Really ever other need pales next to the need for starting pitching, so outside of a shortstop, I wouldn't spend money on any other position UNLESS AND UNTIL the front office pulls off some trades for starting pitching.  I would wait to see if that happens, and if it does, spend the money on any holes that are created in the roster (eg. Kepler, Garver or Jeffers, Arraez, etc.) as a result of the trades.  Finally, if the Twins are willing to look at a long term contract for a position player, I would look at Correa or Story as that need is much more pressing that an outfielder.

I hope they focus on starters, a shortstop, and relievers before even thinking about an outfielder.
The Bundy signing is not focusing on starters.

I have to agree. I understand the criteria you're using and I wouldn't have a problem with excluding Harmon if the title of the article were "Building the Best Budget WAR Twins Team" but any time the words "Twins All-Time Dream Team" are part of the title, Killebrew has to be on the team.

Came here to pump the brakes a little on the ticker tape parade forming over the signing of a sore-shouldered pitcher with a name familiar to certain strata of fans.
Looks instead like the parade is stalled in the fairgrounds parking lot. My services will not be required today, after all.

Context matters. Right now this looks like a "meh" sort of move that's closer to lottery ticket than solid signing, and after the botch up with Happ and Shoemaker last season, the Twins FO hasn't earned a lot of benefit of the doubt that they can knock out a bounce back season. The cost is fine, and if Bundy is healthy and keeping the ball in the park then he's a solid pitcher. He finished the season a heck of lot better than he started it, but he also didn't pitch in September, and it's fair to be worried about any shoulder injury from a pitcher, especially one you've just bought low on.
As part of a bigger design to fill up the rotation, I'm ok with this. As a consolation prize for missing on apparently every front line starter with consistent track records of success, this is trash. If every one of the top 15 (20?) FA pitchers sign with someone else, then the Twins damn well better deal for someone or they're damn liars about competing in 2022.

It seems as if every playoff team has an opponent or two they dominate. For example,
Tampa Bay went 18-1 vs Baltimore
Milwaukee went 15-4 vs the Cubs and 14-5 vs Pittsburgh
    Houston went 14-5 vs Texas
The Dodgers went 16-3 vs Arizona and the Giants went 17-2 vs the Diamondbacks.
