Berrios actually averaged a healthy number of innings per start under Baldelli. He was 15th in IP in 2019 and 35th in IP in the weird 2020 season.
The "Baldelli has a quick hook" crowd's complaints aren't really based in reality. The Twins are mid-pack in starter innings pretty much every season.

At least when Sano connects, it's not some loopy little fly ball to short right field. I'll take his light tower power and the strikeouts that come along with it over the two most frustrating Twins legends' approaches every time.

Frankly, I feel like I'm repeating what others have said, but don't spend a lot of money on position players, spend it on pitching. I'd love to see them sign Chris Taylor but the Dodgers really like him so he won't be cheap. More likely is Freddy Galvis or Jose Iglesias. Please dear God, no more of Simmons.
On the pitching side, I think 18-22M for a front line starter is too low. I think its more like 20-25m. Would love to see them devote 35m a year to starters, something like 20m to Stroman and 12-15m to Robbie Ray, both on 3 year deals.  More likely combination is someone like Stroman plus Pineda for a total of 30m. If they do the latter they probably have enough to sign Taylor to go with it.
I'd love to trade for controllable starting pitching but I don't think we have the talent to pull it off. We'd have to trade someone with a very high potential ceiling like Woods Richardson PLUS a Kepler and a position player prospect like Celestino to get a controllable #2 or #3 guy. I would rather keep the talent we have, sign one high end FA starter and get by with Pineda in the 2 spot, followed by Ryan, Ober and Dobnak/Winder/Duran, etc.  Then spend 10-15m on 2 solid/good bullpen pieces, plus a glove first stop gap SS like Galvis. Probably doesn't get us to contention in 2022 unless we get lucky, but will hopefully develop what we have for 2023-2025.

Larnach is a right fielder. They need to find a way to play him there. If I had to guess, I'd say that one of Celestino or Martin is our long term LF.
I like Chris Taylor as our opening day shortstop. He won't command the money or term that one of the top guys will, but he will likely provide the competence we're lacked all year from Simmons while we wait for Lewis and/or Martin to emerge. And, because he won't cost a ton, he will afford us the opportunity to invest in the pitching we desperately need.

    3B Donaldson (Arraez, Sano)

I'd like to try to find a way to keep Astudillo if I can, because I think he brings some non-stat value to the team.

Hard pass. We don't need a shortstop that can't hit, and we really don't need one that can't field. We further don't need a second baseman. I'd rather try Arraez at second and Polanco at short again than trade for Torres, and I don't really want to try that alignment again.

Have no interest in trading with the Yankees as they usually don't work out well for the Twins.
Also, have no interest investing prospects to solve the shortstop question which should take care of itself a year later when Lewis/Martin should be ready.  Would rather see them do:  A) nothing, with Polo/Gordon/Arraez manning the middle infield spots; or .B) signing a veteran to a one year contract.

So the '16 team gets a break because of injuries, but the 2021 team doesn't and the FO needs to go? Don't follow the logic there.
Also, don't agree at all that the core of Buxton, Sano, Kepler, Polanco, Berrios, and Rosario were going to win no matter what. That's 1 good, not great starting pitcher, 1 elite talent who took forever to figure it out and has never stayed healthy for a full season, the streakiest hitter in baseball who doubles as the biggest K machine in the league, a gold glove type RFer who's a slightly above average hitter, a top hitting SS who couldn't field the position, and a below average defensive LFer with a slightly above average bat who was prone to more than his fair share of mental mistakes.
Twins win percentages since 2010: .580, .389, .407, .407, .432, .512, .364, .525, .481, .623, .600, .430. Since becoming the Twins in 1961 the team has won fewer than 40% of their games 6 total times. Twice in the last 10 years including the season before Falvine took over. They're going to end around 44 or 45% this year probably. You're so upset about this season that you want the FO fired yet it's better than all but 2 of the 7 years prior to them taking over.

While there's a lot of merit to your post, this comment feels really disingenuous. You mention they "nearly" made the playoffs in 2015 but fail to mention that they fielded literally the worst team in Twins history in 2016. Let's not pretend as if they didn't inherit a truly awful baseball team, sporting the worst record the franchise has posted in 60 years of Minnesota baseball.

Well Kyle Gibson was awful in 2020 and almost certainly would have cost the Twins their division championship last year and he most definitely wouldn't have made a lick of difference this year.
So that was a pretty good "pass" in my book.

Phil Hughes extension was bad.  he wasn't signed as a free agent.
Does anyone remember the impact of the Butch Huskey signing?  How about that time we signed the hall of famer Steve Carlton?  (1-6 with an 8.54 ERA) Mike Pelfry was bad though I rooted for him cause he wanted to be here.  He was ok his last season here.  And who can forget the signing of Sidney Ponson?

I'd be shocked if Gant, Albers, or Barnes are anywhere near a Minnesota rotation to open the 2022 season.
And there are literally zero meaningful things the front office can do right now.
PS. You missed Joe Ryan on your list, who may be the most promising arm in the rotation right now... It's either Ryan or Ober.

To be frank, most of it has to do with Cavaco having 92 professional plate appearances before this year and knowing he was a full on project when he was drafted. Cavaco was a surprise and a reach by the Twins as they drafted him purely based on athleticism and projection. Cavaco did not participate in the 2020 alternate site.
May - 82 PA .230/.305/.297 OPS .602 Jun - 35 PA .344/.400/.438 OPS .838 went on 10 Day IL Jul - 56 PA .271/.375/.438 OPS .813 came back from IL and 3 game rehab assignment Aug - 78 PA .173/.179/.173 OPS .353 He's only had one absolutely horrible month so far; this one. In June and July, Cavaco was showing a real improvement at the plate. Not sure if he's wearing down. Reports suggested his conditioning coming into the year probably wasn't very good so maybe?
Cavaco's struggles at the plate, and even moreso in the field, are concerning. Too early to completely write him off.
