Correa is supposed to be among the top MLB shortstops - he should be putting up numbers like Francisco Lindor, Trea Turner, Corey Seager, and Xander Boegarts. Yes he should, yes that's absolutely what we all expected and so did the Twins. But his numbers aren't even close to what those guys are putting up.
In fact, shortstops who are having BETTER hitting seasons than Correa include Bobby Witt, Bo Bichette, Gleybar Torres, Willy Adames, Andres Jimenez, and some guy named Thairo Estrada.
If you buy a Corvette and it runs like a reliable Honda Civic, you got a lemon.
And yes, watching the lead dwindle to 1 game as the Twins fly out west to take on the best team in baseball is definitely adding to my bitterness on this matter.

The problem for me is he wants to be paid for providing elite production so when he doesn't give you that then maybe it is better to spread that money around to improve WAR in other areas.  Maybe he will be elite again next year hard to say but if Lewis can come in and get even close to those numbers and the 35 MIL can buy you 4 more WAR somewhere else I think you do that instead.  If he wants to be paid like an All-Star he needs to produce like one.  Right now Bogarts has more than double Correa;s WAR.  If it stays that way he looks like the more consistent player and more likely to get the big payday.  Correa is asking to be treated like an elite player so he needs to produce like one year in and year out or settle for a smaller AAV contract.

Is the standard for overturning a call "clear and convincing evidence?"  If so, doesn't the fact that there's been sooooo much debate about this call mean it wasn't clear and convincing?  The call on the field was out.....what clear and convincing evidence was there to make an overturn?  I'm confused.
As to the throw from Beckham?  I don't think you can complain for a guy playing LF for (I think) the 3rd time.....just a sucky way to lose a game.

The FO couldn't possibly say with a straight face that they are trying to win and then trade Correa.  I agree that he isn't necessarily living up to his contract (at least at the plate) but you may have lost the clubhouse if he was traded.  I love the moves.  I think Povich has a real chance to be a good major league pitcher, but you got an all-star closer and one of the top 5 starting pitchers that got moved.  A- grade at least.

It's gotta be the fielding.  He's been offered a chance as super-utility in St Paul, and while errors aren't the best way to judge defense, lacking other info or scouting reports I note that a .911 fielding percentage at 2B and .857 at 3B are pretty darn low.  I don't think he was ever a plus-fielder, but the "acceptable defense" skills he had when younger have apparently eroded.
A 32-year old who can be put confidently only at 1B or DH isn't going to fill an unmet need on many teams, including our Twins - we have a better version named Arraez who is also much younger.

And of course we are going to have to give up a lot more to get that very good pitcher, I didn’t mean a couple of AA guys alone. I just don’t think Miranda should be part of the deal, and I certainly don’t think that Beckham changes my mind by even 1%. But that might be just me.

Winder has been shut down.....sent back for rehab work.  No one is going to trade for him right now.
You can't give up Miranda....he's been our most productive hitter/run producer over the last month.  He's a cornerstone. I don't know if Larnach holds value while injured (hernia surgery shouldn't be a huge red flag).
If Arraez can play a serviceable 2B, why isn't Polanco a trade chip?  Will it screw with team chemistry too much?
