I can appreciate the bold takes here, but this team won't sniff the postseason as currently constructed. I just don't see them piecing together this bullpen and rotation enough to have any sustained success. I'd like for them to prove me wrong, but it's unlikely.

Since Sinclair is an evil corporation that has treated the fans with zero respect over the last couple of years, they've burned their bridges with me. I've found alternatives that do the job, and at the price point they're charging I'll stick with my present setup. Also, you know it won't be long before they start jacking the rates.

Seems like we have a glut of rotation options currently, any chance we call up a team in the NL (maybe San Diego?) and see if we can send a guy like Chris Paddack for some relief help. I hear Taylor Rogers is pretty good.

In all seriousness, I'd love to see Moran up here. We know he has the stuff. Let him develop up here and I think he will be solid in the long term.

If they can trade a lefty reliever for a starting pitcher and then trade a minor league reliever for a major league reliever they will effectively have traded a minor league reliever for a starting pitcher. That's an impressive trade chain.

I get that he is an above average player, but his game is borderline unwatchable after all these years and it might be best for both sides to just have a clean break, hopefully as soon as the trade deadline. Not sure we can get much for him, but anything is something I guess.

I mean, this was the biggest concern going into the season. Who is going to pitch, and more focused, who is going to pitch high leverage relief innings? Duffey ain't the answer and I'm not sure where the help is going to come from. Expecting Wes Johnson to just work his magic isn't cutting it anymore. I hope they figure this out because the 2021 stink is still hanging in the air and things are NOT looking good.

Salary parity. Hard cap, hard floor and revenue sharing. Set the percentages. Total league player salaries are X% of total revenue - then a hard cap and hard floor - all excess funds equaling player percentage goes into a pool for playoff players, and league award winners. 

Robo Ump, right now! I see too many skilled pitchers getting screwed by bad calls. I also see too many hitters getting screwed by bad calls. 
They don't "even out," either. Bad plus bad equals more bad. 

Exactly what I am getting at - thanks! Remove the 30-second carve out at a minimum. Replay was supposed to be for the egregious missed calls like the Armando Galarrago perfect game.

Allow teams to shift - hitters learn to hit the other way...............No Joey Gallo I don't watch you to hit bombs as you lose more games than you win with your K's and "loud outs" versus your 30+ HR's.  (Idon't watch you anyhow as you are a YANKEE)
Bring back the value of SP...................I hate openers, and bullpen games.  Give me a SP who goes 7+ every time they take the mound as Pitch counts are over rated and lead to some great games being destroyed by a bullpen imploding

Riffing off the comments on the demise of the SP, here is my never-gonna-happen idea: reduce the active roster to, say, 20 players.
Here are some potential effects:
Obviously, fewer relievers per game. A 3-inning relief stint becomes normal. Complete games become a goal again.
Similarly, fewer pinch hitters and platoons, since the bench is short. Defensive skill and versatility become more valuable. Do teams start to lobby against the DH, or maybe we let them be substituted into other positions mid game?
Pitch count economy will drive up the value of weak contact and control vs strikeouts and swinging strikes.
Ending close games with aggressive offensive strategy (i.e. steals, squeezes,  and sacrifices) becomes preferable to extra innings.
League-wide, reducing rosters by 25% (most of them pitchers) trims off the low-quality players
So what is the upshot: shorter games, more contact, tighter strategy, more valuable relievers, shorter rotations, more speed, more bunting, and maybe even a pitching staff where casual fans know who these guys are.
Aren't those the things we want?

Players should have one, and only one, chance at HOF induction.
This way the baseball writers wouldn't be able to keep a player out for a year because he's not worthy to be "first ballot".
It would also eliminate the hemming and hawing over the Blylevens of the world.

Let’s hear it. Mine is the death of the SP does more damage to baseball than 3 true outcomes, slow pace of play, and dramatic shifts combined. 

After watching Duffey blow another game, I’m hard pressed to label Duffey a “good arm.” I wouldn’t mind if his “good arm” were pitching for another team in the near future.
