Yesterday, we announced Kody Funderburk as the Twins Daily relief pitcher of the year. Today, we shift our attention to the starting pitchers, and there were several very impressive pitching prospects who took bit strides in 2023. 

All week, we have been handing out the Twins Daily Minor League Awards. Today, we conclude that series by recognizing  the top hitters in the Minnesota Twins organization during the 2023 season.

Every year, each MLB organization sends several prospects to participate in the Arizona Fall League. This year, the Twins are sending eight players to play for the Glendale Desert Dogs. Learn more about all eight players and read their thoughts on this great opportunity. 

The minor league seasons are two games from being complete. It's time to start handing out some awards. Today, we start by naming our choices for Twins short-season hitter of the year.

Today, we continue to hand out our proverbial hardware. Who were the top pitchers for the Twins Florida Complex League and the Dominican Summer League? 

Playing the last minor league game of the season for the Minnesota Twins affiliates, the St. Paul Saints came out Sunday afternoon looking to avoid inclement weather for the second consecutive day. With plenty of Twins trying to get in rehab action, there was more than enough to watch.

The Twins continued to use the final few Triple-A games as a rehab spot, and the Saints launched their 14th grand slam of the season. Although there was only one game on the farm Friday, there was plenty of action.

With the Cedar Rapids Kernels winning the Midwest League Championship Wednesday night, the St. Paul Saints were the lone affiliate in action on Thursday. Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton was back in action as the designated hitter.

The minor league seasons are running down, but on Wednesday night, the Cedar Rapids Kernels wrapped up an incredible season. They won their division in the first half and again in the second half, and it all culminated with the first Midwest League Championship for the Kernels in 29 years! 

When the Minnesota Twins embarked upon the 2023 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft, they found themselves in an enviable position. The first draft lottery pushed them up the board. Picking fifth overall instead of 13th, the organization was bound to get a stud in a loaded crop of prospects. It’s gone even better than imagined.

Game 2 of the Midwest League Championship Series between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Great Lakes Loons wasn’t able to be completed on Tuesday night, but it was a great game until the rain moved in. The Saints game in St. Paul saw a plethora of rehabbers play a role, including a couple fantastic outings from rehabbing pitchers you may be interested in.
