Minnesota Twins affiliates won just one of their six (yay rookie leagues!) games on Tuesday, but the team that was victorious, did so in grand fashion, paying homage to the return of their home city’s celebration from a few days earlier.

The Twins front office had a clear mission this winter, including adding more depth to multiple places on the roster. So far this season, the Twins have seen some benefit to this depth, but the St. Paul Saints continue to thrive.

There are no minor-league games on Mondays... until there are. On Monday, the Florida Complex League and the Dominican Summer League began their seasons. If you were the Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday, you had to feel a bit unlucky on Tuesday, as multiple rehabbing pitchers, as well as several other players with significant major league experience, bit them all night. A starter in Wichita also tied a career high in strikeouts, and the Kernels came from behind to steal a win on the road.

It's unusual that the best players are the ones you can't find mentioned on prospect lists. 

For the second week in a row each affiliate either played .500 baseball or within a game of .500. There were some more big performances and we’re starting to see some performance-triggered promotions.
