There is only two reasons you need a long reliever in the playoffs!

1.  You get blown out.

2.  Extra innings?????  20-30 minutes back and forth on this point.  Basically settle on only one reason for a long reliever.

Not that I blame anyone for not thinking of this, and there is no reason a Minnesota Twins fan would, but what about a blowout win?  I'd like to eat some innings then.

Its really strange to look at the whole pitching staff and wonder “who do we leave off the playoff roster?” and then you look at the position players and how do you fit everyone on if they are all healthy.  Its a very different position that we have not had in a very long time.
