tony&rodney Verified Member
These two teams are really going at it. Couple of notes: 1. Why have pitchers on the team that you cannot use such as Thornburg or Duffey? Pagan was slated to be released by San Diego and we stole him along with an injured guy who had some potential three years ago. Pagan needs to see time in the early innings, this is well documented by now even if the faith in him seems laudable. 2. The Twins need a real catcher. After relief pitching, this is the biggest hole for this team. Anyone who ever pitched at a decent level understands the importance of having confidence in your catcher. Sometimes a pitcher has to bury one in the dirt. The Twins pitchers do not have that option. Hopefully, the bats come out furious at Bieber tomorrow. There have been some tough losses this year and the team still is sitting in a decent position. RpR and IndyTwinsFan

RpR Verified Member
Twins are returning to last years form, cannot win extra inning game. (The asinine free runner rule should be eliminated.) Dozier's Glorious Hair

qljohnson Provisional Member
Absolutely disgusting loss!!!! So sick of watching our bullpen blow very nice leads only to loose games.....honestly....it's hard to loose the way we are... HELLOOOOO....ANYONE THERE IN THE FRONT OFFICE.....let's get on the phone and pick up a damn closer and maybe a decent bullpen arm or 2....this team is a competitive team....give them the tools to succeed.... terrydactyls Gold Caretaker
The Twins should be trying to sweep the series tomorrow and put Cleveland out to pasture. Instead, two blown games and they are facing Cleveland's best pitcher tomorrow. The front office should be on their phones right now trying to find two or three relief pitchers that can hold a lead. Don't wait a month for the trade deadline. Make some moves right now. IndyTwinsFan

I don't even need to see the playoffs to know that they are going to fail again this year, even if they make it. Just sell Correa now. I think Correa is probably one of the most clutch Twin there is. The genius front office thinks they can just patch it together on the fly like they always do. It never works. I'm sure some computer program told the computer geeks that the bullpen wouldn't be that much different with Pagan as with Rogers.

Seriously, it would have been so nice to get some breathing room after all these games. Einheri Verified Member
I'd DFA at least two of Pagán, Duffy, and Cotton. I'd rather put an untested-at-the-major-league-level rookie in there. At least if they screw up, I'd have some hope for later improvement from the experience.

Halsey Hall Verified Member
I was listening on the radio driving home thru a thunder storm when Kepler hit it out. Announcers said pagan warming in the pen, I swear my Noooooooo could be heard hundreds of miles away. Rained so hard I pulled over in a rest stop, lost radio with all the lightning so checked my phone. No surprise idiot Baldelli gave another game away. SwainZag Community Moderator
One question I want to ask is, why did they pitch to Naylor? The winning run is on 2nd, 1st base is open, and Naylor is a much better hitter than Reyes. wsnydes

a-wan Verified Member
Dislike having Pagan pitch, but if Duffey starts the inning and blows it we’d be complaining about that. Thus the issue of a craptastic bullpen bites again. wsnydes and Richie the Rally Goat
