I hadn't heard the report that Berrios has been an "erratic mess at times." With admittedly small samples, his numbers sure don't suggest that (1.9 BB/9). And all scouting reports I have read say he has surprising command for an 18 year old.

Re-read the sentence. He says that "May (as in Trevor) has been an erratic mess at times". All he says about Berrios is that he's 18.

The frosting on the cake for me is that we have a slew of FORMER top 10 prospects who have not yet established themselves, and that represent better promise than most commenters here seem to accept: Hendriks, Parmelee, Dozier, Benson, Robertson, Herrmann.
The other thing that excites me is the quality of the next 15 best prospects, players like Polanco, Harrison, Santana, Wimmers, Goodrum, Salcedo, Bard, Jorge, Minier, Boyd, Melotakis, Chargois, Walker,Hermsen, Pressly, Oliveros, Michael, Boer, Vargas, Baxendale, Jones, Williams....
