This is were several clubs would take Tonkins/Achters dominant half seasons in High A & get em fasttracked to majors by having them start in New Brit.....no chance that happens unfortunately. Top 4 all seem like legit prospects for next year.

I'd vote Tonkin for the higher K rate and more saves. Achter is deserving though with the lower WHIP, ERA, and BB rate.

Loved the K-Rates of Tonkin and Slama, but Achter's K-Rate was still 10.6 per nine. To me, Achter was pretty easy choice among a lot of very good relievers.

These are probably two guys who could now be fast tracked. I think how they were handled in 2012 was right, but maybe now with the success and the adjustments they've made/learned this year will allow them to move more quickly next spring.

Seth, there is a typo in your column- Achter's innings were actually 74.1, not 94.1.

No argument about Achter from here

I think that one of the wunderkids of the 2012 draft with 15ish K/9 in SS ball should probably be mentioned for posterity, but I suspect that these guys will have their chance next season-----

Could mention DJ Baxendale or the incredible numbers of Tyler Duffey, but it's just 15-20 innings, so that doesn't compare to 50-75 innings.
