Slama to miss (at least) a month
You recall a little over a week ago, Anthony Slama was pitching against Norfolk when Miguel Tejada hit a line drive back up the middle. It hit Slama in the leg, and he had to leave the game. He was immediately put on the 7-Day Disabled List with what was called a "Right Leg Contusion."
Someone close to the situation informed me over the weekend that after a follow-up X-Ray, they found a 'clean break' in his fibula. It will most likely mean that Slama will be out at least four weeks.
This is unfortunate because of how well he was pitching for the Red Wings. He deserves another opportunity with the Twins and this set back certainly does not help.

That was also in Strib over the weekend. Gotta wonder what the heck is going on in Rochester - confusing a bruise with a broken bone?

I was looking forward to seeing what Slama could do if he got called up to the Twins. Now it might not be until the end of the season when he gets a chance with the big league squad.

sounds like the Twins staff missing a broken leg & listing it as a bruise.
