Daniel Bard to Sign?
No! Daniel Bard plays in the Red Sox organization. However, last night, Twins supplemental first-round draft pick (and Daniel's brother) Luke Bard tweeted a picture from Target Field. He was at the game yesterday and obviously there would have been some business talked while he was there as well. I tweeted him and asked if there was any business discussions at Target Field yesterday. I then noted that not ALL Twins games are THAT long.
He responded by tweeting, "Yeah, that was a long one!! Glad we won!"
So although he didn't answer the question directly, could the word "WE" indicate that he has signed or is near signing?
I have little concern that he will sign. It would just be great to get it done sooner rather than later.Last edited by Seth Stohs; 06-18-2012 at 08:31 AM.

I was a little concerned about him signing so I am glad to hear that he was at Target Field. Hopefully the deal gets done and he can get put on a rookie league roster for the rest of the year.

I'd say first to Ft. Myers to work for a few days. Then I would guess he'd go to Beloit, possibly to the Miracle.

So much for Fanatic Jack and his thoughts about Luke Bard going back to college. Hopefully Jack is part Mayan and the world does not end 12/21/2012...

According to LEN3, Bard signed for slot. He'll go to Fort Myers to have his shoulder treated before being assigned to a club.

Examining Oswaldo Arcia's recent struggles
Figuring hitters out, a baseball lifer told me recently, is like trying to untangle a giant knot. At first you just try to attack it in the easiest manner possible. If that does not work, you pick...
