Looks like the use of position players as pitchers is speading like a virus in the Twins' minors

Miracle staff has been getting pounded. Look for some bullpen guys to wind up on the DL before the year is over. Serious over-use

Arcia had 4 more hits.

Am hopeful he will be promoted to AA at the all-star break.

Might as well promote Arcia now - Miracle out of it for playoff contention.

Not exactly.
There are 2 halves in play and the first half champion is playing the second half. Miracle is out of it for the first half but everyone is tied for the second half.

Tosoni-Hicks-Bigley-Dolenc-Benson (DL) is the OF at New Britain so they'd probably have to release Dolenc to get Arcia up there...

I was responding to Mr. Ed who thought they would promote him at the All-Star break, in which case he wouldn't be there for the 2nd half anyway. Arcia is a prospect that should be cultivated and is ready to play at a higher level; Dolenc is expendable, especially given the number of OF prospects they have.
