Fort Myers eliminated
For those who follow such things, Fort Myers has now been eliminated from the playoffs for the 1st half of the season. Better luck in the 2nd half, gents!

Are the players not performing due to a lack of talent, poor coaching or some other reason? Fort Myers and Rochester seem to have a lot of losing years.

Have no clue as to the reason. In many ways they mimic the big-league club - poor starting pitching. Only about 20% of their starts have been Quality Starts - by far the lowest in the system. Bats aren't as bad, although Michael has been a bit of a disappointment given his draft position and hype. Arcia is starting to wake up a bit.
Big story here is St. Lucie Mets who are 40-11 and are just about to clinch the division half title; 2nd place is 16 games back.
