That Sean Burroughs' picture is almost as bad as the Prince Fielder McDonalds commercial with the daddy. Thing is Sean does not look like that any more, whereas Prince looks worse that he did.

Why did the Red Wings release Bates? Do they have anyone to play 1B now?

Would the Twins promote either Arcia or Michael? That would give New Britain only 11 pitchers and 14 batters.

Could they be planning to promote a reliever from Fort Myers to replace Oliveros?

Looking into it... I'd be shocked if Levi Michael was moving to AA now because he has been really bad. Arcia's on a nice role and could move up.

I think that Ricky Bowen or Matt Hauser are way overdue (and old enough) to be in AA right now...

Bates...who cares --47RBI in 130+ gms..done.....Thurston has been horrible but has been a solid AAAA guy.
Burroughs should play alot of 1B but this might come with a Parmelee demotion. Waldrop could go to New Brit to fill in for the next wk or 2 to give em enuff pitchers.

With Valencia down, Burroughs has been playing first. Also have Rizzotti, unless he is shipped down to NB. Although New Britain already has two first basemen, Hansen and Colabello. Maybe they will switch Colabello and Rizzotti.

Boer's struggles should remind us that getting excited about college pitchers in leagues below A is a bad idea.....Sure would be nice if just once they could draft a guy (lately) and have him just be successful and rocket through the minors. Just somebody. Michael's performance is a bummer.

Hear anything about that, Seth? Arcia wasn't in the Ft. Myers lineup yesterday...Routine day off? Injury? Promotion? Michael wasn't in it either.

I wouldn't be surprised if Parmelee goes down when Morneau is activated.
