Is anyone really expecting him to the the SAVIOR? No. Contributor? Yes.

You want a savior, look to the mega-million-man. 1 homer, average slumped under .300

What I am looking for in players this year is who can play and who can't. Can the Twins be a winning team with Dozier at SS? The same question goes for Casilla and probably Valencia. If Dozier hits .270, gets his fair share of XBHs and BBs and plays capable shortstop, I'll be more than satisfied.

The pitching staff needs to be reworked--particularly the rotation--and the Twins won't contend until they get capable starting pitching, what needs to be known by the end of this year is whether they need to find another 2B, SS, 3B and RF. The infield positions are particularly crucial because there aren't any in-house answers in the high minors.

The mega-million man is the Anti-Savior.

The Twins need to find out if Morneau can still play and at least perrform half as well as his contract is paying him. Mauer is vastly overpaid now, but when the front office signed him he was doing what no other catcher has ever done so lets keep that under consideration. Does he need to permanently move to another postion? Yes. The pitching is absolutely horrendous and needs to be addressed both in free agency and in the draft. A complete change of philosophy is needed when it comes to what type of pitchers we go after. Pitching to contact gets you exactly what the Twins are doing right now. We need strikeout pitchers. The Twins are in need of a major shake up, coaching? maybe but definetly in the way we evaluate players.
