I liked the action Gibson had on his sinker. He had it running to the right and down, almost like a lefty slider, but of course from a RH release point, so it's harder to get batters to wave at it. I wonder what would happen if Gibson started pitching from the 1st base side of the rubber. Would that make his tailing sinker more effective? Maybe he could do that against LH batters...

Hi
Are the minor league games open to the public tomorrow and Tuesday? And open on Wednesday at sox farm teams?
Thanks!

First of all, it was very cool to meet Mr. Halsey Hall this afternoon. Just for a short time, so I'm hoping to see more of him through the week!

The minor league games (And all practices, etc.) are always free to the public.

I've heard (But can't verify) that it's really difficult to get into the Red Sox minor league areas.

Nobody was allowed into the Red Sox Minor League area last year when we spent the day there. No idea if that's changed or is just a rule for certain days, but from what I remember you couldn't even really see what was going on their back fields from anywhere around Jet Blue Park.

"First of all, it was very cool to meet Mr. Halsey Hall this afternoon. Just for a short time, so I'm hoping to see more of him through the week!" Huh? Hasn't he been dead for like 36 years?

I should bring this to the attention of the local SABR chapter, which is named after him. They might want to do a memorial service or something.

Screen name is a tribute to Halsey, I loved the man!

As far as the Sox minor leagues go, I was there last week, and no problem. Not sure about the games though. But you park where the parking guys send you, and walk all the way down the way to the back fields if they still let you.
