Is dead. On a "Sunday Morning" though . . .

Easily one of my top 5 favorite musicians of all time.

I was surprised at how much this bothered me today. Reed, Iggy, and Bowie were the three guys who really got me into music in a serious way.

It's a genius lost, for sure.

'The biggest communication problem is that we do not listen to understand. We listen to reply.' Sometimes on here I think this could be stated as 'The biggest communication problem is that we do not read to understand. We read to reply.'

Lou Reed was a true artist, one who channeled his art through music like an unstoppable train. He was a rare breed.

I hate the term "legend", but it most certainly applies to him... maybe reluctantly on his part.

Lou Reed may have expired in the physical sense - but his music will last many more lifetimes.

Rest well my friend.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
