Joe is surrendering $125,000 per day after Day 3 to remain on paternity leave. Paying for college will cost about 3 days each, even given the rapid increase in the cost of higher education.

Carol Gardenhire had a point though about getting more paid paternity leave for twins (especially when you are the icon of the Twins).

But since Joe doesn't really need the money, it would be a cool gesture if the Twins took what they would have paid him for the next 2 or 3 days and gave it to a charity that benefits kids. Its not like his replacement is getting big bucks.

How big of a leashe do you give Diamond, if you're at even a tiny bit serious about winning this game?

Long range planning... New Fathers just don't get the importance of that. The Twins will probably have to go to cosmetology school now.

Where do I sign up?

Line starts behind me but I anticipate a lot of pushing and shoving by the masses to get to the front.

Get Ry Cooder to sing my eulogy.

Serious about winning? You've seen the lineup, right?

Is that Dutch?

I would like to volunteer to serve on a committee whose only agenda is sending Drew Butera to the northern tip of Baffin Island to fend for himself.

Baffin Island was named after English explorer "William Baffin".

The Northern Tip was named after Canadian explorer "Northern Tip".

100 Pitches or 15 Runs... Whichever comes first.

You know, I appreciate what Ryan Doumit did last year, and he works hard now- he's a pro. But it's time to let Arcia and others have his at-bats. I hoped he would have a good year and pull up the young guys with his performance, but it just ain't happening.

Trade deadline is 5 days away. I hope the problem is solved by then. Also, Mauer, Parm, and Colabello should be sharing first base by that time.
