I don't want to be overly critical, but that throw from Doumit was one of the worst throws I've ever seen from a major leaguer, let alone catcher.

I don't know about that. Roenicke spiked a fastball about 15 ft in front of home plate in the 10th last night. That was about the worst I've ever seen.

You can come up with statistics to prove anything. Forty percent of all people know that.

It worked, didn't it? They won.

Weaver's fastball is topping out around 90 mph?

That sounds about right. Weaver gets by on extreme rise with his fastball and extreme crossfire action combined with extreme extension and some pretty nasty breaking stuff too. Interesting formula, really.

Are you suggesting that particular pitch was just a clever ruse?

Do you think Gardy put Morneu 3rd and Doumit 4th, then just pulled names out of a hat for the lineup?

Maybe for all of it but Florimon, consistent #9

Don't act like lineups have never been picked out of a hat.

If Colabello wants to even hit .200 in the MLB, he has to move closer to the plate. He stands so far back from the plate that he can't even reach pitches right down the middle, not to mention on the outside corner. It's ridiculous to me.

I know Colabello is a AAA god this year, but when he bats up here he just looks like he has no chance. I'm glad he's getting a chance so we can see what he has, but right now he's sure not looking like the power RH bat we need off the bench.

Very nice inning for Pelfrey. If, and that's a big if, he can keep improving, I hope he gives the Twins first chance at signing him for next year.

I'm suggesting that the universe is composed of seemingly random events that often coalesce into a ordered whole. Who knows what role that particular pitch played. If a butterfly flaps its wings in China...

The K Boys are back... We may want to curb that as the game goes on.

Take two aspirin, rub lipstick on it and it will heal! Stay off the booze for at least 10 minutes.

Too bad the AA Portland Sea Dogs are visiting New Britain. Maybe the Twins could have had some guys stop there for BP before continuing on to Seattle. That appears to be the appropriate level for the boys today.

Lipstick on my mind... Reminds me... (Kinda)... Of the Stephen Wright bit.

"I went on a picnic with my girlfriend. I don't know how she did it, but she got poison ivy on her brain. The only way she could scratch it was to think about sandpaper".
