Trevor May’s start got pushed back a day due to rain, which worked out well for him. As there was a double header today, the Rock Cats and Fisher Cats played 7 innings, as per double header rules in the minor leagues.

Trevor Ran into early trouble, allowing a double to start the game, followed by two quick outs. That is when his control became questionable, walking the next two batters to load the bases. After a quick visit to the mound, the next batter grounded out to end the inning, however it took 30 pitches to finish the half.

The second was smooth sailing, however in the 3rd Trevor had some more troubles. The inning started with a quick strike out, however the next batter walked, and the batter after that doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. Trevor got the next two batters out on an infield line drive, and a pop fly, no damage done.

The 4th, 5th, and 6th innings were all painless, so painless in fact that Trevor got 10 outs in a row, which brings us to one out in the 7th. With one out in the 7th, Trevor gave up a double, however that was quickly followed by a strikeout and pop fly to end the game.

Trevor's final line for the start was 7 IP, 3 hits, 3 hits, 0 runs, 0 ER, 3 walks, and 4 strikeouts. This was Trevor's first win in the Twins system, Congratulations Trevor! :go:

Trevor ran into trouble in his 5th start of the inning, lasting only 4 innings, and giving up 9 hits, 8 earned runs, walking 3 and only striking out 1. The Rock Cats did manage to score 16, so he avoided the loss.

His next start was better. Trevor went 7 innings, and only gave up 3 hits, and one run. He only walked 2, and struck out 3. The Rock Cats however ended up losing in the 9th, 2-1.

So far this season, Trevor has a 1-1 record, a 3.90 ERA, has pitched 32.1 Innings, given up 28 hits, 14 runs, walked 18 and struck out 27.

Trevor started in the second game of a double header on May 10th. This is his second time starting in a double header game this year, and the results were the same. Trevor pitched a complete game (7 innings due to double header rules) shutout. Trevor gave up 2 hits, and allowed only one runner to get to second base. He struck out 10, walked 1, and hit one batter. Trevor earned his second win in the 6-0 game, and is second on the Rock Cats in Strikeouts and ERA, and leads the team in WHIP.

Yesterdays game brings his season totals to the following: 2-1 record with a 3.20 ERA. In his 39.1 innings pitched, he has given up 30 hits, walked 19 and gave up 14 earned runs. His strikeout total is now at 37, and his team leading WHIP is 1.25

You should probably start posting more often especially since Trevor May is a pretty big deal for the future of the Twins.
