Mauer and Morneau have 172 PAs between them in May without hitting a home run.

Some of these are not so fun.....

My number today is three....

What I just typed is probably an opinion, not a fact. I mean, I'm usually right, so you should maybe assume it is or will be a fact soon, but that's up to you. :) Also, I am NOT trying to convince anyone I am correct, I'm just talking here, not arguing.

Francisco Liriano, 2013: 3 starts, 18 IP (the magical 6 IP per start). 3-0, 1.00 ERA. 14 hits allowed, 6 BB, 25 K's.

Anibal Sanchez: 2.77 ERA, 55 IP, 68Ks, ERA+ of 158 going into tonite where he was two outs away from a no hitter before Mauer broke it up. Had to settle for a 1 hit complete game shutout.

Sanchez had 12 strikeouts tonight. Twins starters have 12 over their last 6 starts combined. Good thing K's don't have much to do with pitching well...

Disclaimer: Shamelessly cribbed from KTWN talking head, in the same postgame blather where he repeatedly claimed the score was 5-0.

Randy Choate (coming into tonight) had six times as many holds (6) as strikeouts (1). That is until he struck out Matt Kemp.

Pelfrey's current ERA is 6.66, which is apt, as he may have been sent here by Satan.

Aaron Hicks is .375/.375/.750 in June

Expect him to maintain that throughout the month. :)

Kevin Correia IP/GS 6.3, WHIP 1.30, K/BB 3.7
Justin Verlander IP/GS 6.1, WHIP 1.35, K/BB 3.3

I know I'm being selective, but it's fun with numbers...
