6-0 seems rather decicive. At least our winning percentage is well above the pathagorean.

Sorry i didn't check in earlier...

Well, it was the third spring training game and their runs came against Barnes, Coulombe and Gibaut...

I wish we could have seen Winder's inning after there was so much talk about him. Sounded like he did really well.

Er... decisive? Sorry for my poor spelling yesterday.

Today?

Boston:

0. Nick Pivetta (R ) P
1. Enrique Hernandez (R ) SS
2. Marwin Gonzalez ( S ) 2B
3. J.D. Martinez (R ) DH
4. Rafael Devers ( L) 3B
5. Hunter Renfroe (R ) RF
6. Christian Vazquez (R ) C
7. Bobby Dalbec (R ) 1B
8. Cesar Puello (R ) LF
9. Michael Gettys (R ) CF

Minnesota:

0. Jose Berrios (R ) P
1. Luis Arraez ( L) 2B
2. Mitch Garver (R ) C
3. Nelson Cruz (R ) DH
4. Jake Cave ( L) CF
5. Kyle Garlick (R ) LF
6. Brent Rooker (R ) RF
7. Andrew Romine ( S ) SS
8. Tzu-Wei Lin ( L) 3B
9. Aaron Sabato (R ) 1B

We got this!

They are following the age old strategy of batting the second baseman second.

We are 1upping them by batting ours first!

But their second baseman does seem familiar...

Anyway, i may end up bein' too busy to check in on things this afternoon.

Y'all may have to bring it home.

Garv-bomb!!

Add some Garv-sauce to a Jagr-bomb, drink, cheer on the home run, vomit, repeat.

A Garver homerun the difference in the game after 2.

Good to see. Or at least read about on the gameday.

Addendum edit: Double Ninja'd. Beat that!

Still needing a tune up?

Remember, good vibrato can hide a lack of perfect pitch...

The strategy appears to be to wear down the Red Sox players’ legs so they cannot run down balls in later innings.

Wow... 8 runs in an inning without an out. Now that's impressive!

A baseball equivalent of the rope-a-dope?

Let's take note how that works, so we know if we can safely implement it later in the season...

Did we just have an example of inning called on account of pitch count?

Yes. Apparently Rocco had enough after 8 runs.

Something tells me that for Sparkman and Shepherd, this spring training game will matter.

Well, at least one reliever who looks sharp. Very sharp in Stashak's case and encouraging to see after his first outing also went less than ideal.

Well on a positive note Garlick is looking pretty decent. If he keeps it up I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the starting 26 man roster.
