In 1988, I visited DodgerTown in Vero Beach, FL for a Spring training game between the Dodgers and Oriole's

Standing along the RF line, took this picture. A few seconds later, LaSorda turned to me, extended his hand and said "Hi..I'm Tommy LaSorda".I was flabbergasted. Never forgot.

One of a kind in baseball...what a guy!

Thanks Tommy...Rest in Peace.

Always been a Twins fan FIRST but a Dodger fan second (it goes back to 1965 and Sandy Koufax).Tommy Lasorda was one in a million.Baseball has never had a better ambassador. He was a darn good manager too.
