Catch-up
Rocco's Twins were not going to make it three walk-offs in a row yesterday, as they thump the Tigers behind a Grand Slam from Polanco and a terrific outing by Randy Dobnak 7-1. With the season series between the Tigers and Twins now tied 3-3, a win today would put someone back in front.

Storylines

  1. After a terrific spot start by Randy Dobnak, Wes Johnson will have to ponder how he wants to handle the rotation going forward. For now Homer Bailey is back on the mound for Minnesota as an early Cy Young contender here in May.
  2. Michael Fulmer's first start against Minnesota here in 2020 was not bad by any stretch, but he was bested by Jhoulys Chacin and his best start of the year. In that game Fulmer went 5.0IP, 4H, 1ER, 3BB, and 7K's and will look to build on that performance tonight.
  3. The season series now split at 3-3. 4 of the 6 games have been decided by one run, there have been two walk-offs, and todays game should continue to live up to the hype. Gardy's Tigers set to square off against Rocco's Twins in a game that will decide the season series here in May.
