After a much needed day off for the Twins, they'll come home to Target Field to begin their longest home-stand of the year. Detroit comes in with a four game losing streak while the Twins are at a three game losing streak so as Common would say on KFAN, somebodies O has got to go!

1. The Twins begin a ten game home-stand today and we'll see Detroit, Seattle, and finally the Boston Red Sox before closing out April with the NL leading Los Angeles Dodgers (16-3).
2. It's a reunion tour the likes of which we've never seen. Gardy, Rick Andersen, and Joe Vavra come back to Target Field this time bringing some "player," former Twins!Niko Goodrum (drafted by Twins in 2010), Jonathan Schoop (23 bombas in 121 games for MIN in 19') and finally C.J. Cron (25 bombas in 125 games in 19'). Also we'll see former Tiger Alex Avila in this series for Minnesota.
3. The Twins will turn to their leader in Quality Starts in Jhouyls Chacin (3), while Michael Fulmer will tout the rubber for Detroit looking for his first win in 2020.

Miss the game?

Post-game wrap

The Twins headed into the ballgame on a three game losing streak and needed a huge game from Jhoulys Chacin as the bullpen was still depleted from a tough road trip along with the batting order to start the homestand on a high note. The scoring would begin on behalf of the Twins thanks to Kepleroni in the bottom of the 2nd.

But as we mentioned the Twins needing a big start from Chacin, the Tigers also needed a huge start from their arm in Michael Fulmer. Fulmer would find himself in tough situations all day, and he kept finding his way out of it.

We would then head into the sixth inning with another pitchers duel on our hands, just as we saw in Toronto as the scorecard read 1-0 Twins. You don't have to watch the next clip but I'm pretty proud of it from up in the booth.

So with Fulmer pitching so brilliantly for Detroit, it came at a cost as he would leave after 5 innings with 104 pitches and the game was turned over to the bullpen. The pitching from Detroit would then transition from Tigers to kitties as we Let it Sano at Target Field.

The Twins would touch the bullpen up for some more runs and head into the 9th with a 4-0 lead and out for the 9th, Chacin takes the mound. Out number one, check. The second batter Miguel Cabrera would walk, and so would our starter Chacin.

Nearly our first complete game of the year and what an unbelieveable start to 2020 for Chacin, (2-1, 24.1IP, 2.22 ERA), and FOUR straight Quality Starts. The Twins win game one 4-0 and look to take the series with LaMaKina taking the mound at 1:10pmCT for the Twins.

It's been a dream of mine to do color commentary work so I'm enjoying it a lot so far! Thanks for the kind words and for checking on how the "Twins" are doing!
