Patrick Reusse chatted with Caleb Thielbar in the Twins locker room and found out all that he's been up to since spending three seasons with the Twins earlier in the season.

Doug Mientkiewicz said he was the best reliever in the International League last year and should have been in the big leagues.

Theilbar admitted that he hit 95 on several occasions.

This is some good stuff.

Hope Thielbar does well and gets a shot. Need LH pitching in BP.

Will just have to be satisfied with your tidbits, Seth, since the Strib is behind a paywall.I'm happy for Thielbar though. It's always fun to root for the local guys. The Nick Anderson trade didn't sit well with me, so I hope Thielbar gets another chance.

At least Max Murphy tore it up for the Saints.I wonder if he'll be back in 2020.

Saints' closer by mid-season.

If he cannot crack the Detroit roster last season, he does not belong to the Twins.4.39 ERA against LHB in AAA will not cut it.

I cannot remember the last time the Twins got back a player whom they got rid of at a later stage in his career and worked out.Thielber is 33. Same age as Scott Diamond who is a free agent, btw

I get the local homerism about Thielbar being from MN, but that does not win world series...
