According to mlb.com https://www.mlb.com/...om-injured-list, in the process Zack Littell was sent down to Rochester, Cruz should be in the lineup tonight against the Whitesox.

The diagnosis remains ruptured tendon, right? I have NO idea how somebody hits a baseball with that condition. Medical science is* beyond me.

He says the pain is gone, time will tell if the power is gone too. I doubt it but who knows.

Wild but we could use him if he can hit. Interesting that they sent down the 8th releiver instead of Cave. Must mean that Cave stays to play OF until Buxton is ready. Cave's been hitting -.382/.436/.471 over the last 15 games, but I'm a little surprised they went down a pitcher.

I would have kept Littell on the squad, he's been pitching well as of late. I would have liked to seen Harper go down for a bit.

Good to have Cruz back, and here's hoping his hand can stay healthy.

I’m not given that Kepler had to leave yesterday’s game early.

I agree that it's a little surprising that Littel is the choice instead of Harper or Thorpe. Littel was pitching very well. Does he have to be on the 25 man by 8/31 to be on the playoff roster? He can come back before 8/31 for the playoff roster if necessary. I think he should be on it. Also makes me wonder if Thorpe is here because one of the starters is going on the IL...

I'd forgotten about that or maybe bought into Baldelli saying Kepler was fine. It's actually good for Kepler to get a day or two off; he's been scuffling bad and needs a break. .186/.314/.373 (.687) his last 15 games, even worse his last 7.The man needs a day.

Starting 4 games in Texas in August will do that.

Anyone on the 40 man roster by 8/31 is eligible for the postseason roster.
