My only prediction for tonight is that Luis Arraez will make the other team's pitchers say a lot of swears.

No Buxton.

sigh.

Every time I see the ball drop in front of a CF, I think "Buxton would have had that ... and then been out of the lineup for a month."

I think the STRIB had an article on Friday that made it seem pretty optimistic he would be back today.I guess we hope for tomorrow....

I cannot believe this is not ESPN's Monday night game instead of Red Sox - Rays. Can't be audience because Tampa has no audience. 2 first place teams as opposed to a 2nd v a 3rd. Makes no sense.

No reason for Twins bats not to come alive. Just "see" CC for what he is and forget the NY on the uniform. Just go up there and pretend its BP. Hey Rocco, don't panic just because Perez gives up a couple of runs.

Twins 2 of 3; I guarantee it. (Now I will call the Medicare help line, Joe. lol

I want what you're on. 3 game sweep in coming.

He been reactivated yet?

That could explain his absence from the line up...

Elsewise, maybe they're easing him back in, as unstopable pinch runner.

Instead of bagging on the Twins for how terrible they have been for the last six weeks or so, I have decided to look at things in a more positive light. The Twins magic number to win the division is 62. 😊

Does this mean that Garver's homers count for the Yankees?

You mean like softball games short on players that then catch for the other team?

Kind of.

I remember that back when I was (incompetently) coaching my son's Junior Baseball team, all the (present) players on the roster hit in turn, even if there were 15. The most difficult game we ever played was against a team that had only 6-7 players. All of them were great hitters so we almost never got outs, and we couldn't put the ball in play against their pitcher so it didn't matter that they were short in the field. Ugggh! Depressing just to think about it!

Can we just move Arraez to the lead off spot where he belongs?

He only needs 373 PA to get eligible for the batting title. Just under 6 per game

The only guy I'm not afraid of in that lineup is Mike Tauchman... though to be fair, there aren't any truly easy outs in the Twins lineup, maybe outside of Schoop. It's one heck of a lineup even with their promising rookie, Clint Frazier at AAA, who's got a great .840 OPS in the majors.

Also, I'm going to be doing another Strat-O-Matic game alongside this one. I wonder how many runs I'm going to see cross the plate...
