the bullpen has cost the Twins three games just since the AS break.

And the offense has probably cost them at least that many.

Any thought to deleting the thread here?

In the moment humans have reactions in the extreme all the time. His initial perception is real but after some time to let it sit his new reality is just as real.

We can let it go too or we can go on for pages in the initial moment.

Take out Rogers and it is terrible, no matter how lucky they might have gotten for a time.

Are we blaming the bullpen for last night's game?Twins last scored in the 3rd inning and Odorizzi gave up the tying run.

Are we blaming the bullpen in the 4-3 lost the Indians?Twins had the bases loaded with zero outs and could only manage 1 run to the tie the game.Yes, May gave up the HR to Santana, but that's all the runs they scored the entire game.

I get it, the meta thing is to rag on the bullpen and the front office, but outside of a few games where they blew up, the offense really hasn't been there for an extended period of time now.

It's a fair question, and I'll offer my snap opinion (as only a moderator, not an owner or featured writer) - others might chime in too.

The removal of the tweet was almost certainly a PR decision.

The removal of discussion here would be an editorial decision.

TD is independent of the Twins and is not responsible for the team's PR. Not symmetric situations.

/ edit - I should add, again with my moderator's hat on, that this thread obviously will bear heavy scrutiny for respectful posting without trolling.

Nope.

If people want to let it go, that's fine, this thread will die off and fade away. I don't see any reason to delete it though.

I don’t think the correct response here is to suggest that the players should start playing 110-win baseball again. Other posters obviously disagree.

I think Mejia and Magill both have better stuff and potential.

That was a mistake by Berrios. If Morin has any trade value they would have gotten a prospect. Players get traded for cash considerations all the time

There's 110 win pace they were on in the 1st 70 games, and there's 76 win pace they have been on in the last 26 games.I believe there is a happy medium.

If Berrios is tweeting this be assured he's not the only one in the clubhouse thinking it. The Twins are hitting the tough part of their schedule while the Tribe hit their easy part. A dwindling lead, tough schedule, and no reinforcements puts pressure on a team. They can wither or solidify. I'm worried it may be the former.

I’d like to see the bullpen improved as well, but in their three losses, the offense scored, 2, 3, and 4 runs. A bit more run support (or fielding) in two of those games and the equation changes. You’re not going to win a lot of games scoring 4 or fewer runs.

Santana felt the same way about the ownership. It’s not the FO, they’re just a reflection of who their bosses are. Berrios gets that too.

Santana...Escobar...Dozier...players who Berrios came up with and all had issue with negotiations

Now Morin for cash...I can see Berrios's perspective

Santana was traded 5 years before Berrios was drafted.Did Dozier and Escobar have trouble with negotiations or were they both just traded?

Ah Ervin, I seemingly erased him from my memory somehow. What was the issue with him?He got paid in free agency then got hurt, were there contract problems?

As I understand the DFA process, a team has 72 hours to deal, then pass through waivers and then release a player.Waiver claims are granted based on team records (worst to first).I would assume the Twins were willing to let Morin go for nothing, but the Phils wanted him bad enough to jump another claimant and offered cash compensation. Were the Twins supposed to turn it down?I expect the same thing will happen with Magill.Possibly a player will come in return, but likely just cash.

The Twins are done. This is another prime example of a miser of an owner. This is pathetic.

Everyone who says “don’t panic the twins have an easy schedule coming up”... you do realize the Twins didn’t buzzsaw through Detroit like the Indians did. Beating bad teams isn’t a guarantee. The Indians are doing it. The twins haven’t looked like they can this last month.
