I see that Cave's homer was 437 ft. Any word on whether they're going back to regulation baseballs for tomorrow's game?

I agree Parker’s split can be pretty good, but that’s a nothing fastball and his command is less than stellar.

That turned out to be a great job by Parker.

Now, if he could just do that consistently.....

It's possible his pregnant wife's health's been distracting.

The Twins are 50 and 26.

5 games until the half-way point.

This might be a 100 win team?

Sano had great at bats today. He got under a few pitches for deep pop ups, but he got a HR and almost sent another one out.

Were there problems with the pregnancy? If so, then, yes, most certainly.

Wasn't yesterday the first day of Summer anyway. Beautiful Summer like day way up here in Duluth

On the calendar, yes it was. Why I said weatherwise.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. But a skunkweed will always be a skunkweed and instantly recognizable.

That's why he was gone on the Family Leave list.

Eight years ago today, I was scouting a nasty rapid on the Middle Fork of the Salmon river, at a water level we didn't normally take customers through.  But there we were.  I still remember the strange feeling of dividedness I had, trying to be present in a very serious moment, but concerned about my very pregnant wife back home.  And she wasn't even having problems, although, being in the wilderness, I had no way of knowing that for sure.

One of the questions that came up earlier in the season was how the team might react to adversity. I think the last week or so has shed some light on this.

Not invincible, but resilient.

Hopefully the test will be over soon, starting with Buxton’s return.

So this was the version of Parker who has pitched well the past two years, right?

I remember ever since I was a little kid (early 70s) there would be talk every 4th or 5th season that the balls were juiced. By the end of the season the number of home runs would level off and the any noticeable increase overall by the end of the year was negligible. The league leaders would always end up between high 30s and mid 40s. Only one guy ever hit more than 50 in those years, George Foster in '77 hit 54 and it was a big deal. It wasn't until the players started juicing themselves that the numbers got outrageous.

I've shot those very rapids. Yee-hah!
